Christmas Blessing – 2022
39th Year of Deacon Dave’s Christmas Display
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill
cannot be hidden. Men do not light a lamp and then
put it under a bushel basket. They set it on a stand
where it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, your light must shine before men
so that they may see the goodness in your acts and give
praise to your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5: 14)
Each light here at Casa del Pomba (House of the Dove)
is dedicated as a prayer to end violence in the world.
We, as the children of God, must respect individual
life and celebrate our many cultural differences.
Violence in our cities and streets of our nation
and world goes against our Lord’s command to Love
one another.
Respect and tolerance are taught in our Churches
and places of worship, but must also be taught at
home by our parents, grandparents
or guardians.
Our Christmas prayer and hope is for Peace on Earth
And love for one another.
May you be Blessed by God as you walk
under the Lights of the House of the Dove.
